Venue and Booking Information>> Director Gerry Mulgrew Choreography Frank McConnell Music Michael MarraDesign Karen Tennent Lighting Design Jeanine Davies Returning to Glasgow Frankie knocks on a door to find no one home. With time on his hands he wanders the streets of his past and is swept up in the ensuing roller coaster of memories and emotions. Twenty-one years after this gem of a show first played to full-houses and immense public acclaim, plan B have reunited the original creative team to bring A Wee Home From Home to a new generation. in the Year of Homecoming. Performed by Michael Marra and Frank McConnell, the duo create a double act full of warmth and charm with undertones of menace. Using an eclectic mix of raw live music, inspired, high-octane choreography and powerful theatricality, the show opens Scotland to its own wounds while celebrating a vibrant and indominitable spirit with pathos and a huge dose of humour. “Under the imaginative direction of Gerry Mulgrew, fingers and feet combine to produce a satirical but affectionate portrait of Glasgow which is vivid and telling and quite brilliantly performed” THE SCOTSMAN “A marvelous display of athletic humour and a powerful evocation of city life” EVENING NEWS "Robust and fiercely energetic" THE TIMESVisit Plan B's Website for more information also visit Michael Marra's Website

A new version of Michael Marra singing Mother Glasgow with The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra is available to download at Plan B's website. Remember to catch the song in it's original context when A Wee Home From Home starts it's tour next week. Mother Glasgow - Michael Marra @ 1988 In the second city of the Empire Mother Glasgow nurses all her weans And working hard to feed her little starlings Unconciously she clips their little wings And Mother Glasgow's succour is perpertual Nestling The Billy and The Tim I dreamed I took a dander with St Mungo To try to catch a fish that couldna swim Among the silent bells and flightless birdies Father Glasgow knows his starlings well For he will not make his way up to heaven By waltzing all his charges into hell And Mother Glasgow's succour is perpertual Nestling The Billy and The Tim I dreamed I took a dander with St Mungo To try to catch a fish that couldna swim For the tree and the bird and the fish and the bell Let Glasgow flourish
