Out of The Bedroom Review - Canons Gait Edinburgh 1st February 2007

"POACHERS TOO, playing acoustic bass and nylon string, are brothers or my name is Slut-Bum-Walla. These guys put a little stomp back in my feet with their interplay. Their first song might even have been a bit naughty (sample lyric: âWaiting for so long inspires desire ⦠take me home!â) The guitaristâs picking style made me think of Don McLean, while the bassist was just cool, shuffling along and obviously enjoying the role of the beat-keeper. Track 2, perhaps called âSaturday,â was a guitaristâs guitar song, skillfully played across a couple of scales. Their finale was an ode to love walking out the door. The bass was barking like a junkyard dog. I really enjoyed Poachers Too."
